I went to buy some Pastel Confetti Sprinkles today. Michael’s only had jumbo sized but try as I may, I couldn’t come home empty handed. Besides with three 40% off coupons (that expired today!) it was totally justified!
My Kitchen Haul:
- Be My Cupcake Baking Cups (So cute and it’s a new design!)
- Sprinkles Flowerful Medley
- Football Cookie Cutter Set
I will be returning the Sprinkles. Once I got home, I realized I only want Confetti Sprinkles, not tye-dye butterflies (when would these come in handy?). Not counting the fact that this Medley only contained .39 oz of Confetti Sprinkles. Would that cover 3, let alone 24 cupcakes?
There are some great prices online for 2 oz or 3 oz containers of my beloved Confetti Sprinkles. Shipping on the other hand? Ridiculous! 10 dollars to ship me a 2 oz jar of sprinkles? No thank you! I would rather scour Minnesota in search on my own!
Alas, no Confetti Sprinkles (unless I settle for jumbo size) but I need them for Oct. 31. I will be on the lookout until then.

I tried a new sugar cookie recipe last night. It rolled out perfectly this morning and finished baking by 10am! I'm actively trying out recipes to find the very best for our church fund raiser on the 31st of October - my official baking debut.
I made U of M M's with my newly aquired M cookie cutter from the University's bookstore. I mixed up some icing (no lemon juice, I had to use lime!) and colored it gold. After spreading that, I tinted the remaining icing maroon and piped that on the outline of the cookies.

I got sloppy with the last batch since I needed to get the guys out the door to go watch the Gopher game! What's better than to have some matching, delicious sugar cookies? I stuck a couple in the freezer to start testing how they freeze so I can make them ahead of time for the church fund raiser.
Gophers beat Purdue 35-20
